Halloween

Okay, so everybody is saying that I am a total slacker. I have been told that our blog appears on other's blogs with the last posting date of March. I am a slacker, but in my own defense, I have 4 children and no time to do anything for myself.

Here is our Halloween. Jason was a knight. Daniel a dragon for one party and a bat for trick-or-treating. (got a $5 costume from Old Navy!!!) Jonathan was our convict. (Let's hope that is not a sign of what's to come. With his brain, he would be a very scary criminal.) Rachel was a princess. (year number 3 on that costume) I was a witch. (Please, no comments on how I don't need to wear a costume to be that.) The strange man in the picture is David. (His office was dressing as hippies. How scary to have your OB come in dressed like that.)

Okay, so I have posted. I am not creative nor do I have time to really do fancy borders and pretty letters. I hate scrapbooking and am about 4 years behind in getting my children's pictures into albums.

I hope everyone is doing well. I think I posted Halloween about as fast as anyone!! Ha, Ha!

Jason tries to take out his older siblings

You have to look carefully at these pictures. You can pretty well see Jason standing behind the fence at the bottom of the tree. In the tree, very near the top is Jonathan. You might be able to see the pink in the tree, which is Rachel. Now, look in Jason's hands. He has a saw. He was actually sawing the tree while they were up there. We might need to take out the Gerber Life Insurance on our children.

The Zoo

So, Friday it was 79 degrees outside, but today it was 45! We spent mucho bucks to buy sweatshirts for the kids and David. It was Wake Up at the Zoo. That means we got to freeze an hour earlier than everybody else. We got fed cinnamon rolls, bananas, juice and water.
The elephants actually hung out next to the fences so we could really see them.
The favorite part of the visit was the playground. They have a playground area that is supposed to make you love the pests that eat and destroy your garden. The kids love it.
We left quickly when it started to hail and rain on us. We did have a good time.

This is Jason with his action figures. He loves what we have dubbed the "Japan Man" that his Aunt Christie got from Japan.
This is a picture of Jonathan at his Blue and Gold banquet at Super King Buffet. I feel like I am back in Alabama where the people love the bland, everything tastes the same buffets. Why on earth would you hold an award ceremony for Boy Scouts at a Chinese buffet? Anyway, he is a Tiger Cub within the Boy Scouts. This is pre-Cub Scouts.
Then, of course, we have Rachel and Grammy Patterson at the buffet waiting for the troop leader to quit telling us what each of the Chinese Zodiac signs mean. That took 20 minutes for him to relate. We have a dragon, snake, rooster, boar, and a dog.

Daniel is keeping with the family tradition of playing with the Sweet 'n' Low at a restaurant, correction, a Chinese buffet.

Recent Pictures

Okay, so I have never done a blog before and cannot promise that anything will be updated on a regular basis. That being said, here are some pictures of the family, minus David. I have no really recent ones of him that are easily accessible.

We are at the N.C. Aquarium at Fort Fisher. It really was a lame aquarium, but the kids liked it. We saw the alligators getting fed.

Jonathan decided that he wanted to wear a hat that is meant for a 2 year old.

Rachel loves to pose for everything.

It is an absolute miracle that there is a pictures of Jason looking at the camera. He has started hiding from pictures. For a few months he would say cheese and scrunch his face into a "smile".

Daniel, post bath. He is almost 9 months old. He has taken about 3 crawling steps. He can pull himself up to standing, get himself from his tummy to sitting and sitting to tummy.
